Sewer Programs |
Currently, the City operates 10 sewer pump stations. Sewer flows by gravity from the various buildings around town through pipes to these stations. Once the stations get full, they pump the sewer to the City's sewer treatment plant. The treatment plant is two 25 acre lagoons. It takes approximately 30 days for the sewer to be treated. Once it is treated, chlorine is added to finish disinfecting it. Once that is done, the effluent (treated sewer) is discharged into Flat Creek. |
